Checklist
  • Apply for admission to the Instrument Program (Guitar, Bass or Drum) and be accepted
  • Apply for admission to the Recording & Engineering Program and be accepted
  • Optional - Estimate your award using our Net Price Calculator
  • Complete the FAFSA online @http://www.fafsa.ed.gov using the Atlanta Institute of Music (AIM) school code: 031045
  • Apply for Scholarships. Refer to our 'Free Scholarship Searches' at AIM Forms & Links. Review the link to Tips on assisting you to get scholarships to help pay for college.
  • Check student's email for the next steps to continue the processing of your Financial Aid (FA) File
  • Complete the Verification process (if required)
  • Pay Tuition Deposit (may be paid online, by phone or in-person)
  • Schedule Financial Aid (FA) Appointment with FA Director (once notified, by FAO that FA File is complete)
  • Complete the necessary steps for the loan process (if loan is desired)
  • Students - Complete the Entrance Counseling & Sign Master Promissory Note for Federal Direct Loan for Students (Subsidized/Unsubsidized)
  • Parents - Complete PLUS Request Process & Sign Master Promissory Note for Federal PLUS Loan for Parents (if PLUS loan is desired and approved)
  • See Bursar (if applicable) to setup Payment Plan for payment on account balances not covered by financial aid (Payments can be paid by cash, check, money order or credit card)
  • Pay account balance when due (Sign up for text message notification of Payment Plan deadlines)
  • Finance charges (7%) are accessed on the unpaid balance, not covered by financial aid
